The Dandenong Education Precinct (Doveton Secondary College) located at 64-70 Box Street, Doveton has been declared as being surplus to education requirements by DEECD. This report has been prepared by Urbis on behalf of DEECD and provides a review of the subject school site and its physical and policy context, to determine the most appropriate future land use and zone for the site
Three school sites across Doveton and Eumemmering will be rezoned residential. The largest site nearest the creek will be rezoned Residential 1 for now, and Residential Growth Zone when the zoning laws change. There's an opportunity here to have the housing address the creek and associated open space (a little like Metro Village, and completely unlike the all the old housing).
